Above: About 600 gays and lesbians march down Euclid Avenue in the first Cleveland lesbian-gay pride march in over a decade. When the march passed the Arcade, at left, two women walking out asked what it was about, and when they were told, immediately joined.
Top: Marchers join the crowd at the second annual Pride '90 festival on West 29th Street to listen to Cleveland artists Odd Girl Out. Festival organizers say roughly 2,000 people twice last year's number – attended the event, which also included national performers Romanovsky & Phillips, Robin Flower & Libby McLaren, over fifty booths, and the Lavender Elephant Sale, which netted the Center over $2,000 this year.
Right: Pride '90 committee co-chairs Drew Cari, left, and Martha Pontoni, right, join Pat Purdy, center, of the City of Cleveland Community Relations Department in a hug, after accepting the mayor's proclamation of Gay and Lesbian Pride Day (see front page). City Council President Jay Westbrook presented a Pride Day resolution from Council, declaring his support for gay and lesbian rights to a cheering crowd.
